Hey everyone, I just thought I’d share on a purchase I made over the weekend.
Browsing through Dealnews.Com and newspaper ads, I came across the Corsair H50 Water Cooler. Before you say “that is an old model” or “those small closed-loop water cooling systems aren’t that great” I will tell you right now that I picked this up from Fry’s for 29.99 + tax. Quantities are supposedly “limited” (and 1 per customer), but I can already recommend this cooler although I have yet to do an official benchmark. Here’s a link to the product page (http://goo.gl/pGl8s).
Here are some prices from some other vendors at the time of purchase:
Newegg: 59.99 (49.99 after rebate)
Amazon: 45.00 (USED) + 4.49 shipping
Corsair: 79.99
I pulled this stock image from Corsair’s website, but keep an eye out for pre/post install photos when I benchmark this cooler. I am really interested to see how it will compare to my other coolers (Hyper 212, Dark Knight, CNPS9700). For a mere $30, I think it’ll fair pretty well. I conducted the tradition Google search before I went ahead and purchased it and have high hopes for this cooler.
I remember I was going to pick up a Corsair H100 on Black Friday, but decided not to when I found the Hyper 212 on sale. For the specs on the system I will use for the benchmark, check out my Black Friday Post.
